DECIDE ON PURPOSEBOOKS BY REID CALDER

Two books for the night the phone goes quiet.

For the person who keeps getting pulled toward someone who keeps pulling away.

One edition for men with a distancing woman. One for women with a distancing man. Same method: understand the pattern you are in, take back your half of it, and get to a decision you can live with. No mind reading, no countdowns, no scripts that make someone want you.

The books

For men

What Her Distance Doesn't Tell You

Why an avoidant woman pulls away, why chasing makes it worse, and how to decide whether to stay.

Kindle, paperback, and Amazon audiobook. The templates from the book are free at herdistance.com.
For women

What His Distance Doesn't Tell You

Why an avoidant man pulls away, why chasing makes it worse, and how to decide whether to stay.

Kindle, paperback, and Amazon audiobook. The templates from the book are free at hisdistance.com.

The direct bundle

Buying here instead of Amazon gets you the ebook as an EPUB that works in any reader, plus the full audiobook, five hours, in two formats: m4b with chapter markers for Apple Books and most audiobook apps, and mp3 for everything else. Files are yours to keep and download again. Payment runs through Payhip with Stripe or PayPal; this site never sees your card.

The audiobook narration is generated with a text to speech voice from the finished manuscript. It is clear and listenable; it is not a human actor. The Amazon audiobook, when it is live, is Amazon's own generated voice. Same words either way.

What these books will not do

They will not tell you what your partner feels. They will not promise anyone comes back. They will not hand you lines that make someone want you, because no such lines exist. They will not tell you to stay, and they will not tell you to leave. They explain what avoidant distance is and where the research stops, show you the half of this you can actually move, and get you to a decision made from what happened instead of what you hope is happening.

This is education, not therapy. If honesty is not safe in your relationship, the books say so on the first pages and tell you where to go instead.

Who writes these

Reid Calder is a pen name. The books come from years inside this exact pattern, a long stretch of reading the research properly, and a refusal to sell countdowns. The author stays anonymous so the books can be honest about what it was like. Questions and corrections go to hello@decideonpurpose.com.
